Student and employee data are reported from September 13, 2021 and updated every weekday morning that classes are in session.
Kalamazoo College’s campus is open with all students and employees required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Kalamazoo College is also requiring all employees, students, and visitors to wear face coverings while indoors in shared spaces, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
The Kalamazoo College Student Health Center offers students diagnostic testing weekdays by appointment (call 269.337.7200 to schedule). Test results are returned within 24-48 hours, and contact tracing occurs within 24 hours of a positive test result. This dashboard is updated every weekday morning with the results of the COVID-19 diagnostic tests administered on campus and with self-reported student and employee data. Self-reporting is voluntary, so these data may not accurately reflect the entire College community’s COVID-19 status.
The College requested that all campus members take a COVID-19 test if available within 48 hours before arriving on campus in January. Forty-six students received a positive test result and isolated at home prior to returning to campus, so they are excluded from the dashboard data. The College is now following the revised CDC guidelines and Michigan state health guidance regarding shortened quarantine and isolation requirements as applicable.
